About Us

The Pendleton County Historical and Genealogical Society is located at the intersection of U.S. 27 & HWY 177 in Butler, KY.  We meet the third Saturday of each month at 11:00 at the Fryer House and we'd love to have you join us.  We are open for visits on Tuesday of each month from 10-3 and by appointment from March-November.  During questionable weather periods, please contact us prior to your visit to be sure we are open. You never know what to expect with Kentucky weather!

Whether you want to research your family tree or visit our museum, we will be glad to assist you.  So, plan to visit us today!

Remember to visit and like us on our Facebook page.

Memory Lane

Memory Lane, designed and maintained by Bonnie Snow for many, many years, is just a click away.  Please click on the Memory Lane button above to visit this informative site and read all the history that is there. You will find links to all types of records & family histories on this site. PCHGS is forever indebted to Bonnie and her Angels, Nancy Bray and Sherida Dougherty, who researched and transcribed much of the data you will see.

Updates

In keeping with our quest to share our history, we have added a blog, "Looking Back".  We hope you will enjoy reading it.  If you have an article you would like to add to the blog, please send it to our email address, using the "Contact Us"  or mail it to our address.
